When I write I do so from the heart and God knows my heart. Those of you that have written to me and told me that you can relate to the character Tiffany in my first book just know you are not alone. There are many things that aren't discussed in society today and those that are tucked away hoping they will go away. This is never a good thing. For all of you Tiffany's out there who have taken the time to read the book i thank you. For those of you that get the message I thank you. For those of you that miss the message read the book again it's in there and it's hidden within the words.
I have done many interviews regarding my first novel and the worst one that I have done focused on the mother of Tiffany. Every question was about her and why this and that. For those of you who read the book and received the message then you know that it's not about Tiffany's mother at all. I personally have met her mother and she is a beautiful person. Too often people pass judgement when they don't have any idea what's going on those are people I just don't care for but to each his or her own.
My second book Girl, Come and Get Your Blessings: An Inspirational Book for Women is a must read. Today I found myself going back and reading the section on sacrifice. This is so important because I've written about it and I see it's true as well. In life we have to give up something many times in order to get something. Many people aren't willing to give up much but want everything. Also the section "The Cross Changes Everything" is one of my favorite sections and I really enjoyed writing it because it's so very powerful.
One day as I read that section to my son he started to cry and he said, "Ma I didn't know that you could write like that, I saw everything that you said as you read it." God has truly blessed me with a gift and I am so grateful and thankful and will forever be humbled.
There is a story that I heard once and there was this man and he trusted God and he believed and his son became ill and died. The man asked God, "Where were you when my son died?" God replied, "The same place I was when mine died." Just because certain things occur in your life it doesn't mean that God isn't there because there is nowhere that we go that God is not.
